MISSION TRIPS

(GULF COAST and NEW JERSEY RECOVERY) Hollywood UMC has participated in several UMVIM (United Methodist Vounteers in Mission) efforts -- specifically to assist those in need, rebuilding homes and lives during the Katrina Recovery in Gulfport and Waveland, Mississippi, as well as to the Jersey Shore after Hurricane Sandy.

For five years, Hollywood UMC sent mission teams to assist with the Katrina Recovery in healing hearts and homes along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our New Jersey Mission Team took a week long trip to the Jersey Shore to aid in rebuilding homes, and provide hope, for some of those hit hardest by Superstorm Sandy.

UMVIM HAITI RESPONSE

Our HUMC Haiti Missions Team enjoyed another successful trip to continue our response effort to the 2010 earthquake devastation in Haiti. 2016 is our 6th year sending a mission team to Haiti to help small communities who are still recovering from this devastating disaster.
