Welcome to Hollywood United Methodist Church

Hello,

My name is Hannah and I’m the Senior Pastor here at Hollywood United Methodist Church. We are an inclusive and affirming congregation that seeks to live out God’s call to be a “house of prayer for all people.” Kindness, justice and solidarity are key components of how we try to do life together. If that is important to you as well, we hope you’ll stop by.

We are glad you came by the website to join the Campaign for Kindness. There are several ways to be a part of this movement that is working to remind people to be their most compassionate selves during a season when anxiety and tensions may be high. Everyone is going through something, and whether we agree or disagree, that does not stop us from being kind to one another.

First, you can sign this pledge to be a beacon of kindness in our community. On this same form you can sign up for our weekly newsletter to find out ways you can help impact our local community.

Next, you can download all of the free images for social media and share what you think will be encouraging to the people that follow you on your digital platforms. This is a nationwide movement to take a stand for kindness in a time when it is deeply needed, so feel free to customize and use what resources are most helpful for you.

Individual, daily decisions are one way to share the campaign — you can do this by simply choosing kindness. You can share Do Unto Others materials and why you’re campaigning for kindness with your personal and professional networks on social media or in person.

Lastly, we would like to welcome you to one of our many events, volunteering opportunities or community outreach programs to learn more about how Hollywood United Methodist Church works to make a positive impact here in our community. Of course, you can always stop by any Sunday at 11AM in person (or the live stream) and join in our morning church services.
