Justice LA – Hollywood Town Hall Meeting
Thursday, January 11, 2018 @ 7PM
At our Hollywood Campus
Justice LA is a coalition of social justice organizations that are standing together to halt L.A. County’s planned $3.5 billion dollar jail expansion. JusticeLA is calling on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to authorize a moratorium on jail construction and expansion plans in an effort to fully realize the promise of diversion and re-entry through a justice reinvestment strategy. Imagine an L.A. County where the well-being and health of the community is prioritized over incarceration. Constituent voices and involvement play an important role in bringing this vision to reality.
Join JusticeLA and HUMC for this important town hall meeting in the main cathedral on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7 p.m. to learn more about JusticeLA and how you can take action. Speakers will include JusticeLA co-founder Patrisse Cullors (Black Lives Matter), Peter Eliasberg from the ACLU and Kim McGill with the Youth Justice Coalition.
